  • 2/23 Become a Campeona and Help Save Lives - Employees

    Early breast cancer detection saves lives. If you’ve had a mammogram in the past 2 years and want to encourage your friends and family over 40 to get yearly mammograms, sign up to become a Campeona!

    The Cancer Center Breast Program is hosting a free Campeonas class for Latina women who want to join us in this important mission.

    This particular session is open only to UConn Health Staff!!

    To participate, you must meet these requirements:

    • Must have had a mammogram in the last 2 years
    • Must be a Latina woman 40 years or older
    • Must be committed to encouraging women to have annual mammograms after the age of 40.

    You will receive compensation in the form of gift cards for becoming a Campeona and talking with friends and family about getting screened.

    When: Thursday, Feb. 23, 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. and Friday, Feb. 24, 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.

    Where: Outpatient Pavilion, 7th Floor Conference Room West B, S7103 B
