  • Reminder - Creating Customers in KFS

    Before creating a new customer in KFS, departments should always confirm that the customer does not already exist.

    If the customer exists but the department needs to invoice a different address or contact person, the department should edit the customer and add an alternate address

    At no time should a department create a customer for an organization under the name of the contact person for that organization.

    For example:

    • The department’s contact at ABC Doctor Offices is Dr. Smith.  
    • The customer name should be “ABC Doctor Offices”, not “Dr. Smith”.
    • If Dr. Smith works at a different address than the main location, the department should edit the customer ABC Doctor Offices in KFS and add the alternate address to use when invoicing Dr. Smith.
