The Connecticut Institute for Clinical and Translational Science (CICATS) at UConn announces its new Young Innovative Investigator Program (YIIP) aimed to address the need to increase the pool of qualified individuals from underrepresented groups to become academic biomedical research scientists. The YIIP will provide baccalaureate students who are dedicated to pursuing careers as scientists and scholars in biological and biomedical science the academic training and mentorship to be the next generation of innovative basic biomedical scientists.
