Our UConn Health community has successfully adopted the use of FAMIS Self-Service Facilities requests which has helped us to improve efficiency, accuracy and response times. Although the option to set the priority to an “Emergency – 4 Hour Response” is available in FAMIS self-service, we strongly advise that any emergency situation be phoned into the Facilities Work Control Center at extension 2125 rather than submitting an emergency request via self-service. Staff are available 24 hours a day, seven days per week to answer emergency calls but they would need to be actively focused on their email to catch an emergency request that was submitted via self-service. Non-emergency requests should continue to be submitted via FAMIS self-service for best results.
End-user training for FAMIS self-service is available via WebEx. If you or any of your staff should desire training in FAMIS, please feel free to contact the FAMIS support staff via email to DL-FAMIS (dl-famis@uchc.edu) or by phone at extension 7342.
Self-Service requests can be submitted through the website https://uchc.famis.com. The link to FAMIS Cloud is also available on most UConn Health computer desktops in the UConn Health Applications folder and in the Apps section of Citrix Workspace.
Instructions for using the FAMIS self-service features are available on the Facilities website. For convenience, FAMIS Cloud utilizes the single sign-on feature for all UConn Health employees. Therefore, FAMIS Cloud does not require a separate username and password in most circumstances. Non-UConn Health employees including students, residents, UConn Storrs employees, contractors, vendors and affiliates will need to contact the FAMIS support staff for credentials.
