International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) is looking for students, staff and faculty volunteers to join the ISSS Welcome Team and assist new international students moving to campus on Saturday, August 20, 2022 between 11am and 9pm. Volunteers will help students get their room keys, get their Husky One Cards, direct students to their room assignments, and help to set up and take down the campus welcome stations. Each volunteer is expected to commit a minimum of 2 hours of volunteer work or more. If you are interested in volunteering, please complete our online volunteer form so that we will know your availability. After you complete the form, we will contact you with your specific volunteer assignment as soon as possible.

We will also hold mandatory volunteer training the week before move-in day. Volunteers can choose from two in-person training sessions: Monday, August 15 from 2pm to 3pm or Wednesday, August 17 from 3pm to 4pm and the training sign up link will be sent to you later but please mark your calendar now for this event. We depend on many volunteers to help us put on a successful welcome program each semester and we appreciate the help we have received in the past.
