Come join the HUSKY Healthcare for Immigrants Student Coalition in a poster-making event to create and design posters for the May Rally in support of expanding immigrant access to healthcare! HUSKY Healthcare for Immigrants is a student coalition under CT Students 4 a Dream and works to expand Medicaid access to all individuals, regardless of status.
About 52% of undocumented people in CT lack health insurance, compared to only 5.9% of the overall population. CT elected officials have failed to move forward with a bill to expand HUSKY Health to immigrant minors, which makes it even more important for people to demonstrate their support for immigrant health.
Food and supplies will be available at the event. People of all artistic levels are welcome, just bring your passion for health equity!
