On Friday, April 22nd Sunrise CT is hosting an Earth Day 2022 Climate Strike at the State Capitol in Hartford. This strike will demand that Governor Ned Lemont direct the CT Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) to immediately stop the permitting of all new fossil fuel infrastructure. USG Sustainability is funding transportation to bus students from the Storrs Campus to Hartford.
The buses will leave from the UConn Storrs Campus at 2pm on Friday, April 22nd (arrive in Hartford around 2:40pm). They will leave from the capitol and return to UConn at 6pm.
