  • 4/28 Beyond the PhD: Genetic Counselor

    Beyond the PhD is excited to welcome Jennifer Stroop, M.S., C.G.C., a genetic counselor for the Hereditary Cancer Program as part of the Neag Comprehensive Cancer Center at UConn Health Center. Jennifer is responsible for intakes, counseling, risk assessment, and data management for the Hereditary Cancer Program and developed a hereditary cancer rotation for residents and fellows. Prior to joining UConn, Jennifer was at Yale University School of Medicine and Genzyme Genetics in Pennsylvania. Jennifer is an active genetics researcher and has received grant support for her research. Jennifer received her MS in genetic counseling from the University of Cincinnati and her BA in Biology at Knox College. Jennifer will be giving a virtual seminar about her career path next Thursday, April 28th at 2:30PM ET. Registration for the event is free and is open to anybody interested.
