Please join us (virtually) on Thursday 3/17 at noon for another Microbiology Journal Club!
This month, Postdoctoral Fellow Linda Archambault is leading the first fungi-focused meeting of the year!
We’ll discuss “A small molecule produced by Lactobacillus species blocks Candida albicans filamentation by inhibiting a DYRK1-family kinase” and learn more about Dr. Archambault’s own research.

More about Micro JC:
Microbiology Journal Club is a venue for scientific discussion on current literature and provides a great opportunity to learn about microbiology, meet other students and faculty, and ask questions in a low-stakes, welcoming environment. Whether you are a research scientist or physician, anyone interested in bacteria, viruses, and parasites is welcome to participate! Micro Journal Club is held at 12pm on the third Thursday of each month and, for now, will be meeting via Webex.
We’re always looking for students and faculty to lead sessions! Presentation topics are flexible – please reach out if you would like to present an alternative to journal articles (present your own research, etc.).
