Nhuong Nguyen passed away on November 30, 2021. On behalf of his family, Nhuong’s friends have arranged a memorial service which will be held on December 16, 2021. UConn community members wishing to pay their respects may do so at this time.
The memorial service will be from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Ladd Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 19 Ellington Ave, Vernon, CT 06066.

Nhuong was doctoral student and accomplished scholar studying Computer Science & Engineering. Originally from Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, Nhuong enrolled at UConn in the fall 2019 to pursue his PhD. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications from Ho Chi Minh University of Science in 2014. Prior to enrolling at UConn he worked as a software engineer. At UConn he worked as a research assistant in the CT Advanced Computing Center.
