  • New VPN Service

ITS has launched a new virtual private network (VPN) service to replace Pulse Secure. The new service, Cisco AnyConnect, delivers a better, faster experience, even when you are using video conferencing and streaming apps at the same time.

    What is a VPN?

A VPN service creates a secure, encrypted connection between your off-campus computing device (laptop, phone, or tablet) and the campus network. You may need to establish a VPN connection when you access protected resources on the UConn network while working remotely.

How to Switch to AnyConnect from Pulse Secure

You will need to download and install the AnyConnect software. Detailed instructions are available on the Knowledge Base. Once you have installed AnyConnect, you can uninstall Pulse Secure, unless you connect remotely to UConn Health systems (rare).
