    Online
Instructors: Carolyn Mills, Michael Rodriguez, and Roslyn Grandy, all from the UConn Library.

As an early career researcher, have you thought about publishing in open access (OA) scholarly books or journals? Are you unsure what open access publishing is, how to pursue it, or whether it would benefit or harm your career? This workshop introduces you to the basics of OA publishing. It will cover types of OA publishing, benefits and drawbacks of OA, funding sources, dissertations and embargos, and how to identify quality OA journals. It also touches on related issues such as embargoing theses and dissertations, enhancing your profile as a scholar, and measuring your scholarly impact.

The target audience is graduate students and early career faculty. Co-sponsored by the UConn Library and by CETL.
