Scholarly Colloquia and Events

    In 2020, CLAS held a series of Research Conversations, with the goal of connecting faculty around particular topics of interdisciplinary scholarship. To build on this program, this semester are hosting virtual events designed to stimulate research and teaching in the areas of our cluster hires from last year

    • Nathan Acebo, assistant professor in the Department of Anthropology;
    • Santiago Muñoz-Arbeláez, assistant professor in the Departments of History and Literatures, Cultures, and Languages;
    • Sandy Grande, professor in the Department of Political Science.

    The event will include the panel discussion and open conversation among attendees on Native American and Indigenous Studies research at UConn. Interested graduated students, postdocs, undergraduates and participants from other schools and colleges within UConn are encouraged to attend. Please register here by Friday, April 23rd.
