The UConn Recovery Community (URC) is partnering with the Ocean Recovery Community Alliance (ORCA). ORCA’s mission focuses on building community to act as stewards of our world’s oceans, beaches, and waterways. ORCA is coming to campus on March 27th from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. to hold a campus clean-up event. We are looking for student, staff, or faculty organizations or teams that would be willing to sponsor a section of campus for the clean-up. What does it mean to be a sponsor?
Promote the event to your student organization
Set up and staff a table at the assigned location the day of the event
Distribute clean-up tools
Receive and weigh the collected trash
Collect the returned clean-up tools
This event is part of Jonathan’s Challenge and Wellness Points Challenge. Consider joining us on March 27th for a day of connection, community, and (hopefully) some nice Spring weather! Applicable COVID guidelines will be followed.
