  • New Automated Self-Screening Continues Rollout

To enhance employee, student, and vendor safety and mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and other infectious diseases, UConn Health has automated “Well Screen” self-entry screening stations at 13 upper and lower campus entrances. All individuals with a UConn Health-issued ID badge must self-screen the first time they enter a UConn Health building for the day, then rescan their ID upon re-entry to any building. This mandatory screening is monitored daily.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, Feb. 23, the Emergency Department and the Procedures Center on 150 Academic Way stations will launch. An additional station will also open at the University Tower Sub-Basement 2 entrance in response to wait-time feedback.

    WELL SCREEN TIPS

    • Arrive with sufficient time to complete the self-screening process, particularly during peak arrival times
    • Bring your ID badge to avoid having to do a look up
    • Know the automated self-screen steps:
      1. Hover your ID over the badge reader located on the station table directly to the left of the computer screen
      2. Take your temperature. Error? Lower a dark mask away from your eyes or remove a hat. No warm beverage near face
      3. Use your ID corner or a stylus to tap your on-screen answers - do not use fingers

Visit h.uconn.edu/well-screen to learn about the Well Screen stations, and make your entry to our buildings as easy as 1-2-3.
