  • SHARE Virtual Summer Apprenticeship Program

Are you passionate about mentoring undergraduates? Do you want to help early-career students gain valuable exposure to the research process? The SHARE Virtual Summer Apprenticeship program facilitates opportunities for students with little-to-no prior research experience to assist faculty with their research over the summer.

    Eligibility:

UConn faculty in social sciences, humanities, and arts who are interested in mentoring early career undergraduate researchers this summer are invited to submit an opportunity to be included in this program. Applications from interested students will be sent to faculty mentors for review and faculty select their apprentice.

    Funding:

Student apprentices receive a $1000 stipend for 90 hours of project work; faculty mentors receive a $500 professional development stipend in recognition of the guidance and support they provide to apprentices.

    How to Participate:

Submit a description of your research and the ways in which an apprentice can contribute by March 5, 2021 for the summer 2021 program.
