  • 2/6 Stronger Group Is Open to New Members

Stronger is an on-campus support group for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. The goals of the group are to help survivors understand the dynamics of a healthy relationship and to gain strength and empowerment in a safe and supportive environment. The group is a great way to assist with the healing process, and to learn and share with other survivors. Confidentiality of the participants and their experiences will be honored by both the facilitators and the members of the group.  The facilitators are Jaime Kaplan, M.A., M.Ed. and Megan LeBlond. Jaime is Pre-Doctoral Intern with Counseling and Mental Health Services and Megan is a Crisis Counselor/Advocate from The Sexual Assault Crisis Center of Eastern CT. We ask that anyone interested in joining the group to please contact Jaime or Megan prior to the group via email (jaime.kaplan@uconn.edu, mleblond@snet.net). Stronger meets every Thursday in the Women’s Center from 3:30-5:00pm, beginning January 30, 2014.  Participation is welcome at any time over the course of the semester.
