  • CICATS Announces Mentorship (M-1) Award

    $150,000 Connecticut Institute for Clinical and Translational Science (CICATS) Mentorship (M-1) Award Announcement

    The Connecticut Institute for Clinical and Translational Science at the University of Connecticut is pleased to announce a funding opportunity for three M-1 awards of up to $50,000 per year for three years to support successful research funded faculty who will serve as mentors to the next generation of research scientists. This initiative is specifically targeted towards developing a sustainable academic pipeline to increase underrepresented minority students and junior faculty among the pool of academic scientists.     

    Requirements:

    • University of Connecticut faculty from UCHC or Storrs
    • Documented history of successful research funding (from NIH or other sources)
    • Mentoring experience

     

    Timeline:

    • APPLICATION IS DUE BY FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 21, 2014.
    • Award Finalists will be announced at the end of March, 2014.
