  • 2/8 Museum Kids Drop-In Activity: Make a Bird Feeder

The Connecticut State Museum of Natural History, part of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at UConn, will offer a Kids Drop-In Activity “Make a Bird Feeder!” on Saturday, February 8, 10 am to 12 noon.

Making a bird feeder is a fun way to learn about the birds around your home. With birdseed and common household items, such as water bottles, cardboard rolls, and a little imagination, you can create a fantastic birdfeeder for your backyard. Once hung, view birds up close and maybe hear them sing. Get out your binoculars and enjoy the show!

Drop in any time between 10 am to 12 noon this Saturday at the Museum and explore your world through experimentation and observation. Recommended for students in grades 1 through 5, accompanied by an adult. For further information visit http://www.cac.uconn.edu/mnhcurrentcalendar.html or call 860.486.4460.
