Dr. Briggs-Gowan’s team is searching for talkers of diverse races/ethnicities to record materials for an upcoming research study. This work pays a flat rate of $20 and is estimated to take 1-2 hours of your time. We are currently searching for White, Black, Hispanic/Latinx, and Asian fluent/native speakers of English for this opportunity.
What will I be asked to do?
- Talkers will be asked to come to the UConn Storrs campus
- and read a series of bisyllables (dada, baba) with varied emotional valences (i.e., happy, neutral, and angry)
- and be audio recorded in a soundproof booth by study personnel
