  • Enrolling Participants in Game Based Study

We are looking for people interested in playing a game about air pollution. This study was approved by the UConn IRB, Protocol #X20-0117.  The research study plans to see if a game-based approach to air pollution can engage players and promote awareness amongst the general population. Play sessions will take approximately 2 hours to complete. They will all take place virtually over Webex. Play sessions will be moderated by a researcher and the games will be played in groups of 4 participants. We are looking for participants who are 18 years of age or older and who are familiar with the University of Connecticut Storrs main campus. You will spend the play session analyzing a map of campus, placing tokens to mark sources, and voting against other players to win. Some benefits may include getting to spend time playing a game in the name of research, and an increased awareness of local air pollution sources.
