The Actor's Tools: Their Positive Impact on Your Course
    Online
    Presenter: Wayne Trembly, CETL

"In this Teaching Talk we will focus upon use of the actors' tools to enhance teaching, with a special focus on those skills needed for online teaching methods, such as videos and synchronous (WebEx or Collaborate) sessions. We will discuss use of the voice, face, and body to impart meaning, involving and interacting with the 'audience,' using energy and enthusiasm, as well as other tools actors use to communicate with the audience.

Objective: By the end of the session participants will be able to demonstrate understanding of how to use actors' tools to teach more effectively in an online course."
