    What are Teaching talks?

    Join us for an hour of your day to connect with your colleagues. These sessions serve as a springboard for discussions around a topic related to teaching and learning but really give you the chance to share the success and challenges you are facing in our new teaching reality. Each session has a topical theme, but is shaped by the participants' discussion, needs, and interests.

    -Rubrics- 

    Sharing rubrics with your students helps to communicate your expectations clearly and can guide them in their study strategies. â��Rubrics can also make it easier to grade or delegate grading to others. But not all rubrics are created equal. 

    Proposed Objectives

    1.       Discuss pros and cons of different types of rubrics for your assessment (holistic, analytic, developmental, single point)

    2.        Begin to develop a rubric for online discussions and class participation

    3.       Consider student input in developing the rubric that will be used to evaluate them

    4.       Share what is on your mind
