  • Industrial Design Minor

As part of its collaboration with the School of Engineering in the new Krenicki Arts and Engineering Institute, the School of Fine Arts is admitting our first cohort of undergraduates into the new industrial design minor this fall. This 12 credit minor teaches students design thinking and making skills across disciplines in order to generate creative solutions to complex problems. Through project-based coursework, students will study and practice the core principles of Industrial Design and will develop capacities for creating products, environments and systems in the context of real-world challenges.

The fall 2020 course offerings are: ART 3998.002 – Industrial Design: Drawing & Modeling for Design and ART 3998.003 – Industrial Design: Form, Structure & Space. For additional information, contact Eva Gorbants in the School of Fine Arts Dean’s Office eva.gorbants@uconn.edu .
