As announced, we have placed the ReadyDock in a surveilled space outside of the library, next to the Shafer Study Rooms and hope that this service helps to keep the UConn Health community safe. We have checked with the ReadyDock manufacturer regarding the efficacy of the ReadyDoc and COVID-19. We received the following message:
"There is evidence that the coronavirus can be inactivated with UVC. We are working to test our products, but do not have any test data to share as of yet. The … ReadyDock … best practice is that you may wish to employ two cycles of the ReadyDock disinfection until we know more."
The Library will update this information as we hear more.
