Training and Professional Development

  • Teach Class Remotely Collaborate or WebEx Workshop

CETL is offering the following workshops to help you Teach Your Class Remotely using either Blackboard Collaborate or WebEx.  Remember there are other tools other than meeting in a video conference, such as creating recorded lectures. etc. to get your content to your students.

If you still need to meet synchronously and if you're using HuskyCT we recommend you use Collaborate with your students since it's easy for them to find once you add it to your class.

If you're going to use a tablet (i.e. iPad) to share your content, such as writing out formulas, you'll want to use WebEx because sharing the screen from a tablet doesn't work in Collaborate.  And you'll also use WebEx if you're meeting with people outside HuskyCT (i.e. department meetings).

The workshops can be found at http://fins.uconn.edu.  There are other workshops offered as well, please sign up for any training you may need.
