What is this study about? We want to understand the hearing characteristics of people who are routinely exposed to loud noise or music.
Who can participate? Any individual who is at least 18 years old. You may be eligible to participate regardless of how much or how little music you listen to or how often you are exposed to loud sounds.
What will I have to do? The research study will take place in the Philips Communication Sciences Building. Participation will take about 1-2 hours scheduled at your convenience. You will receive a free diagnostic hearing evaluation including objective and subjective measures and will be paid $10/hour.
The research is conducted under the direction of Dr. Jennifer Tufts and Dr. Erika Skoe of the Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences Department.
