  • Disability Awareness and Inclusive Teaching Online

ATTENTION ALL UCONN INSTRUCTORS AND TA'S: Opportunity to participate in research study to evaluate the effectiveness of informational videos on disability awareness and inclusive teaching practices. Participation will involve approximately three hours (completing 2 5-10-minute surveys, watching 5 short (16-28-minute videos featuring interviews with college students with disabilities and disability services professionals and experts as well as providing guidance on reasonable accommodations and inclusive teaching strategies.) Participants will be also invited to attend one (optional) 1-1.5 hour focus group luncheon to discuss their experience. The videos are housed on HuskyCT and participants can watch them at their convenience. We hope participants will increase knowledge of disability awareness, the accommodation process, and inclusive teaching practices.
