The UConn Fiscal Institute for Training (FIT) will hold its first 5-day training session starting in late November, with additional sessions to follow next year. The goals of the Institute include achieving compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations; improving UConn’s internal control environment and efficiency of operations; and creating a tight-knit community/network of fiscal professionals. Trainings will include informative and interactive presentations by subject matter experts from Accounting; Tax and Compliance; Budget; UConn Foundation; Bursar’s Office; University Business Services; Accounts Payable; Payroll; Sponsored Programs; and Audit and Management Advisory Services.
The training will be held at the Alumni Center Great Hall on the following days (participants are required to attend all sessions):
Monday, 11/25/19, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
Tuesday, 11/26/19, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
Tuesday, 12/3/19, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
Friday, 12/6/19, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
Tuesday, 12/10/19, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis for up to 30 respondents via FIT Registration. We highly encourage any staff member with fiscal job responsibilities to discuss this opportunity with their supervisor and consider enrolling.
