Special Events and Receptions

  • 9/13 State of Career Breakfast

The Center for Career Development is hosting a State of Career Breakfast on Friday, September 13, 2019, 8:30-10:00 am, for employers, faculty and staff to learn about “Career Everywhere.” This event is being held in the North Reading Room of the Wilbur Cross Building.

Eighty-eight percent of first-year students cite their reason for attending college is to get a better job, (Gallup/Lumina poll. UCLA, CIRP, Gallup/IHE), which makes it critical for us to ensure that faculty and University staff have the resources and tools to provide sound career information and advice.  Career Everywhere will spread awareness and integrate career readiness and the national career competencies more broadly across campus in a way that ensures consistent messaging from faculty and staff to students.

We are excited to announce our keynote speaker for the State of Career will be Shane Pruitt from Gallup.
