  • Update For Utilizing Central Warehouse & UPS/FedEx

UConn Facilities Operations is requesting that all departments and business units that utilize the Central Warehouse for FedEx and UPS shipping establish new shipping account numbers through Accounts Payable.  Beginning September 1, the current process of submitting a transfer voucher for payment will no longer be available.

By using Accounts Payable umbrella accounts, departments and business units can take advantage of state contract rates, which are less expensive. This will also reduce the administrative costs of shipping and potentially make delivery time quicker.

Package pickup can be scheduled directly through a carrier once an account number has been established through Accounts Payable.

Small packages and letters can be dropped off at various locations throughout campus. Central Warehouse will also still accept those types of packages once an appropriate shipping label and other appropriate documentation has been created.

FedEx and UPS each have two drop-off locations on campus – one located in the hallway between Gampel Pavilion and the Greer Field House (2111 Hillside Road) directly across from the Division of Athletics Ticket Office and one located outside the Budds Building (343 Mansfield Road).

There is also a UPS drop box at Mansfield Town Hall and at 591 Middle Turnpike in Storrs, the shopping plaza with Dollar General and Red Rock Café among others.

The UPS Store offers full service at 1206 Storrs Road in Storrs Center.

For information on establishing shipping accounts, please visit the Accounts Payable website and select “Consolidated Billing” on the top menu bar, which will require at NetID to access.
