Career Readiness Educator Forum for Faculty
    April 24, 2019   3:35 – 4:25 in HBL CLC

A national movement has building Career Readiness at the heart of the evolving interaction taking place between students, Career Centers and Faculty. In an effort to keep UConn students competitive in the ever changing job market, the Center for Career Development seeks to partner with faculty and staff to provide a broader reach than can be achieved by one department alone.   The Forum is designed to elicit ideas and support from select faculty and staff around the types of career conversations they are engaging in and how faculty are currently infusing career readiness into their curriculums.    By engaging in this effort, Career Readiness Educators will learn about how Career Readiness can be infused into courses, develop common language when discussing career-related topics and acquire a better understanding of how you can collaborate with the center to help meet the career needs of your students.  Two faculty members who have been incorporating Career Readiness elements in their courses will be on hand to discuss their successes and impacts.
