  • 4/25 Undoing Racism Workshop

The next Undoing Racism/Community Organizing Workshop led by The People's Institute for Survival and Beyond is coming soon: Click here to learn more about the upcoming workshop taking place Thursday-Saturday, April 25-27, at Beulah Heights First Pentecostal Church on Orchard Street in New Haven.

If you are interested in attending please fill out the online survey application to attend the workshop here by April 15th.

The three day intensive workshop focuses on racism and educates, challenges, and inspires people to undo the race-based structures that block social change. We focus on what racism is, where it comes from, how it functions, why it persists, and what we can do to dismantle it.The April 2019 Workshop is especially organized for the re-entry community, including individuals involved in or impacted by the criminal justice system.

The New Haven workshops are organized locally and offered with The People's Institute for Survival and Beyond, a national, multiracial, anti-racist collective of veteran organizers and educators dedicated to building an effective movement for social change. Since its founding in 1980, The People’s Institute has led workshops for over 500,000 people in hundreds of communities throughout the United States and internationally (including many from New Haven and across Connecticut).
