  • 4/3 Extended-reality in and Beyond the Classroom

Extended reality (XR) technologies (virtual, augmented, and mixed) are becoming mainstream. Faculty and students are implementing these technologies in a variety of disciplines and instructional contexts. Uncertainty about their potential impact remains, and many of us are just taking exploratory baby steps, never mind taking any "magic leap" to adoption. OPIM Innovate, an emerging technology initiative out of the School of Business has explored how students can gain these skills to make themselves more competitive in the work environment. Our projects have included working with faculty on classroom activities and hosting a number of classes in our research lab. The workshop is designed to facilitate and promote planning by anyone designing, supporting, or implementing of entry-level XR projects. The session is limited to 20 participants.
