Volunteer Opportunities

  • Volunteers Needed to Help Low-Income Families

WAIM: (Windham Area Interfaith Ministries) is a non-profit organization set up in Windham. There, they essentially have a large "Goodwill" composed of the community's generosity. However, WAIM redistributes the donations for free to low-income families or those in crisis.
Volunteers help sort incoming donations, organize, register clients, and assist with tasks as people in the community pickup what they need. It is an opportunity to learn more about diversity and poverty while getting to see the optimism of the community.

Positions are available 9-12 Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday.

WAIM is run through UConn Community Outreach and transportation is provided!
