The CT Flower & Garden Show will be held in the CT Convention Center from Thursday, February 21st through Sunday, February 24th. Doors open to the Flower Show at 10AM daily. Traffic surrounding the campus is expected to be heavy and travel delays are likely.
CT Convention Center Garage permit holders may be displaced from their assigned parking areas (Sections A and C) on both Thursday (2/21) and Friday (2/22). Parking capacity elsewhere in the garage should be used if there are no parking spaces available within the regularly assigned sections.
Employees should be aware of the fact that UConn student permit parking in the Convention Center and Science Center garages will be SUSPENDED from 7:00 AM until 5:00 PM on Thursday (2/21) and Friday (2/22). During these suspension periods, UConn student permit parking will be accommodated on the surface parking lot at 18 Pequot Street (map). The Pequot Street lot is located about 9/10th mile north of the campus. Free shuttle service between the Convention Center Garage and the Pequot Lot will be provided during the following hours:
FREE SHUTTLE SERVICE (~10-minute frequency)
Thursday - 7:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Friday - 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
The affected student permit holders have been provided with information related to the above-mentioned parking relocations via email messages sent to their University accounts and posted signage.
Some employees might prefer to park on the 18 Pequot Lot and use the free shuttle, which is permitted.
