IMPORTANT UPDATES TO THE APPLICATION PROCESS
With the UConn IDEA Grant application cycle underway, we would like to highlight some changes to the application process.

    New Application Management System:
We are using the UConn Quest Portal, a new application management system to collect, process, and review UConn IDEA Grant applications. This new system allows students to complete the various components of the UConn IDEA Grant application in the most appropriate order for them and to make edits as needed prior to submission of their application.

    Requesting Letters of Recommendation:
Students will need to initiate their application in the Quest Portal in order to request letters of recommendation. Once initiated, they can request recommendation letters by entering the names and email addresses of those who have agreed to write a letter on their behalf. Recommenders will then receive an email with a link and instructions for uploading their letter.

Students should initiate the recommendation requests early in the application process to give their recommenders time to complete and upload their letters to the Quest Portal prior to the March 11th application deadline.

Additional information on the application process is available on the UConn IDEA Grant website. Students with questions on the program or the application process are encouraged to speak with Melissa Berkey in the Office of Undergraduate Research (Melissa.berkey@uconn.edu). Appointments can be scheduled online through Nexus or through email.
