    Convergence Grant Program

The Connecticut Convergence Institute for Translation in Regenerative Engineering is a result of the merger of The Institute for Regenerative Engineering (IRE) with the Connecticut Institute for Clinical and Translational Science (CICATS). The focus of the new Institute is on the new field of regenerative engineering which is defined as the convergence of advanced materials science, stem cell science, physics, developmental biology and clinical translation for the regeneration of complex tissues and organ systems.

The Connecticut Convergence Institute offers a new seed funding opportunity to faculty for transdisciplinary projects in the area of regenerative engineering. Proposals focusing on strategies for limb regeneration and/or novel approaches for regeneration of complex tissues are sought.

    Funding level: $50,000  per application.

Deadline for Submission: March 22, 2019
