Research, Funding, and Awards

  • Launch Your Venture with CCEI

Get paid to work on your startup this summer!

Do you want to spend your summer working on a business you created?  How about receiving a $15,000 award to go towards your business, $5,000 of which you can use as a student internship stipend?

The Connecticut Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation has opened up the application for this year's Summer Fellowship Program!  Summer Fellowship takes place the first week of June through the first week of August, where teams spend 3 days a week over 8 weeks to further develop their business. These weekly sessions help educate program participants on how to define your business, build your brand, and launch your venture.

Program participants work on enhancing the skills they need to bring new products and technologies to market and receive coaching and advice from industry mentors and experienced entrepreneurs. This is an excellent opportunity to learn first hand about entrepreneurship, work on your business and receive funding to do so.  Each team will receive $15,000 for their venture.

Application Deadline is March 1, 2019

If your application is reviewed and you are selected as a finalist, you will be asked to present a short pitch on what your project or company idea is in from of a panel of judges who will be selecting which teams participate.  Questions like; Who does your company Serve? Why do you think summer fellowship is right for your venture? What types of assistance and resources do you need most to succeed? And what evidence of future market success have you attained? will be asked.
