International Huskies Writing Assistance (IHWA) offers free writing assistance to International and English as a Second Language Students at the University of Connecticut. People who fall into either of these two categories may submit a paper to us for revision. Our team of qualified Writing Assistants will make comprehensive edits/suggestions on the paper with comments to help you understand why we made the edits and how you can make similar edits in the future. Upon receiving the reviewed paper, we recommend attending one of our biweekly editing sessions to go over the paper one-on-one with a Writing Assistant. We also offer references to written materials and exercises that may be helpful in improving certain aspects of grammatical conventions that pose particular challenges for non-native English speakers. We are located in the International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS) office, located on the "M" level of McMahon Hall.
