  • 2/7 Asia Maritime Panel

    Ambassador (ret.) Kathleen Stephens will lead a panel of experts in a timely discussion surrounding the seas of Northeast and Southeast Asia. Topics range from strategic and international law issues involving American and Chinese competition over the western Pacific to humanitarian and environmental problems such as human trafficking and the depletion of fisheries. Our distinguished panel features speakers with specializations in security, history, law, and geography.

    Discussion led by Ambassador (ret.) Kathleen Stephens (CEO of Korea Economic Institute of America). Stephens was U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Korea 2008-2011. Speakers include: Dr. James Kraska (Naval War College), Professor Lee Sung-Yoon (Tufts), Professor Geoffrey Gresh (National Defense University), and Dr. Kevin Evringham (Department of Defense).

    The panel will take place at 4 pm in the Konover Auditorium, Dodd Center. The event is open to the public, including the reception that will follow.
