Dining Services

  • 2/4 Spring Valley Student Farm Accepting Applications

Are you interested in learning how to grow your own food, passionate about the environment, or want to learn more about food systems? Are you looking to live with like-minded individuals working toward a common goal? If yes to any of these (or many other related things!) then Spring Valley Student Farm might just be the place for you!

Located 4.5 miles off main campus, Spring Valley is a community of eleven students living together on a farm, learning about sustainable agriculture, food security, community involvement, and much more. Students living on the farm grow food for dining services and engage with the greater UConn community on topics related to sustainable agriculture and the environment.

Undergraduates in any major with at least sophomore standing by Fall 2018 are welcome to apply! Applications can be found on the dining services webpage under the Spring Valley Student Farm tab.

Applications are due February 4th 2019.
