  • Due 9/26-Environmental Conservation Alt. Break

Interested in learning more about coastal environmental conservation and playing your part in protecting our environment?

If yes, spend a weekend learning and serving with other students from Storrs and Avery Point in Groton, CT!

During this weekend long alternative break, participants from Storrs and Avery Point will come together for an immersive experience focusing on coastal environment issues. In the past, the group has worked on beach clean-ups, removal of invasive species, and planting eelgrass. Project O will also be providing the group with information and education vital to understanding the environmental issues in the Long Island Sound area. Take this opportunity to learn more about how the environment is affected by humans, how environmental problems lead to human problems, and what we can do to help! All majors and experience levels are encouraged to apply!

Trip Dates: November 9th-11th, 2018 (note: this is a different weekend than other Fall weekend trips and changed since the original application was made)

Application Deadline: September 26th at noon
