  • A Study Examining Cognition and Linguistic Process

Adults ages 18 – 65, with a history of Traumatic Brain Injury such as a head injury caused by fall, blunt force trauma, or a motor vehicle accident.  Individuals with a history of stroke, epilepsy, or seizure are not eligible for this study.

What you will do in the study:

You will complete standardized tests, tell a story, and a computerized testing paradigm.

Study also involves use of EEG* to monitor changes in neural signals.

*An electroencephalogram (EEG) measures the electrical activity in the brain (brain waves) using electrodes (small sensors) placed on the head. Neural activity frequently changes as a response to task with EEG serving as one means to identify changes in neural activity. EEG has been used for years and risks regarding use of EEG are minimal.

Participants will receive financial compensation for successful completion of the study.

Study takes roughly 3 hour to complete.
