Effective May 14th, Julia Anderson (she/her/hers) will begin serving as the Rainbow Center’s Program Coordinator. Julia received her Masters of Education degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs from the Neag School of Education earlier this month and served as the Graduate Assistant in the Rainbow Center throughout her time in the program. As Program Coordinator, Julia will focus on maintaining and enhancing University-wide programs and services, student development and engagement for the LGBTQIA+ community and its allies. She will also work on assessment and evaluation of programs and student support.
A Woodstock, Georgia native, Julia graduated from the University of Georgia in 2016, with an English Major and Swahili Minor. During her time at UConn, Julia also held a resource development role with the Leadership Office and served in an Investigating Student Conduct Officer role with Community Standards. In the first year of her program, she completed a yearlong assessment of a program that serves students with disabilities on campus.
