The Learning Community Innovation Zone (LCIZ) presents the first annual Modified Pinewood Derby! Teams consisting of four members will create their own modified derby car and compete in either the “Learning Community Circuit” (all four team members belong to the same Learning Community), or the “Open Circuit” (open to all undergraduate students).

Date: Saturday, April 14th
Time: Races begin at 3:30pm
Teams can register at https://lciz.uconn.edu/lciz-modified-pinewood-derby/. Upon registration, each team will receive a basic derby car kit to modify. Each entry must incorporate a 3D Printed aspect and include at least 1 working LED light.
PRIZES:
$100 Prize awarded to the fastest car in each circuit
$50 Prize awarded to the “Most Innovative” car
$50 Prize awarded for “Judges’ Choice”
