  • Revenue Cycle Partnership With Optum

    During the past four months UConn Health has completed a request for proposal and, after careful consideration of many proposals we have selected Optum as our partner.  Optum is a national firm that brings every facet of revenue cycle expertise including many technology solutions to increase revenue and cash flow for UConn Health. 

    We are excited to start this partnership, and the next steps, beginning this week with an approximately a two-month assessment of our current revenue cycle andwork done in preparation for HealthOne. This will include interviews with management and staff throughout UConn Health, benchmarking current state to national averages and a detailed review of the management organizational structure, not our unionized staff.

    While the assessment is being performed I can assure you that this will in no way delay the HealthOne implementation or bring change to the current HealthOne revenue cycle team. No union positions will be lost as a result of the decision and transition.
