We are pleased to announce that travel awards of up to $800 are being offered through the Lawrence G. Raisz Fund for Musculoskeletal Research & Education for attendance at the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research (ASBMR) meeting on September 8-11, 2017 in Denver, CO.
Dr. Raisz was a founding member of ASBMR and its second President.
Eligibility is restricted (as per the Fund’s donors) to junior faculty in the School of Medicine, and students, fellows, residents, and research staff who are mentored by faculty members having their primary appointments in the School of Medicine. Eligibility is restricted to first authors of abstracts selected for oral or plenary poster presentation. Graduate students eligible to receive a HCRAC travel grant are expected to apply first to that program; if successful, the student may apply for matching funds of up to $500 from the Raisz Fund. Individuals who receive ASBMR Young Investigator Awards or other external travel grants are not eligible.
There is a limit of one application per Principal Investigator laboratory.
Please request application from Linda Graver (graver@uchc.edu) and submit it by August 4, 2017.
