Health360, part of the Connecticut Area Health Education Center (CT AHEC) Network, is currently accepting AmeriCorps program applications for the August 2017 - May 2018 service year.

Duties: AmeriCorps members work full-time to recruit and train students in the Youth Health Service Corps (YHSC) and Collegiate Health Service Corps (CHSC) service learning programs in Connecticut. AmeriCorps members manage YHSC and CHSC students as they volunteer in healthcare and community settings that serve the underserved.

The CT AHEC Network AmeriCorps Program aims to improve academic engagement of economically disadvantaged students through participation in YHSC and CHSC programs. The YHSC and CHSC programs are health careers recruitment programs that engage diverse students as leaders in meaningful service learning that address community health issues. CT high school and college students are exposed to entry level healthcare careers and learn how to successfully enter onto upwardly mobile healthcare career ladders.
