    Target Audience:  occupational health professionals, primary care physicians and practitioners, health promotion professionals, health policy specialists.

    Learning Objectives:  Participants will (be able to):

    1. Describe current trends in the prevalence of chronic health conditions in the US workforce.
    2. Describe the fundamental principles and elements of pain and illness self-management programs.
    3. Discuss barriers for implementing peer support and counseling programs in the workplace setting for workers with chronic or episodic illness.
